Down in Nilakanth Nagar, specifically in the Chudanga Sahi area, we’ve got our little setup running. It’s funny because people often ask what the official name is, and we just tell them we’re the shop on the corner. On the paperwork, it says "non," but to the neighbors, we’re just the ones who handle the local repair work. It’s a quiet enough street most days. We started out just helping friends with their tools and equipment, and it slowly turned into a real daily thing. The space isn't huge. We have to organize everything carefully just to have room to move around. Most of our tools have been with us for a decade or more, worn smooth from use. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is holding a wrench at the time. We spend a lot of time just figuring out how to make old things work again. It’s satisfying to take something that looks finished and give it another few years of life. The kids in the neighborhood sometimes peek in to see what we’re doing. We don't mind. We aren't looking to expand into some big city company. We like it here in Chudanga Sahi. The air is okay, the people are friendly, and we have enough work to keep us busy from sunrise to sunset. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside when the sun goes down and just watch the street.
