Nilambu Travels

Our little office for Nilambu Travels sits right where C T Road meets Station Road here in Puri. It’s a busy corner, and there is always noise from the trains or the buses passing by at all hours. We’ve been at this location for a while, and most of the shopkeepers nearby know us pretty well. It’s a convenient spot because people arriving at the station can just walk over if they need help figuring out their next move. The space inside is small, and we have a lot of old ledgers piled up on the side. We spend most of our day talking to travelers and trying to arrange cars or tickets for them. It gets quite dusty with the wind blowing in from the street, so we’re always wiping down the desks. We don't really do much advertising; people mostly find us because they’re walking by or someone told them to stop in. There’s a tea stall just a few steps away where we usually get our morning chai. Sometimes we just sit out front on a stool and watch the people go by when things are quiet. It’s a practical business, nothing flashy. We just focus on keeping the vehicles running and making sure the schedules stay mostly on time. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door, which keeps things interesting for us. It is just a normal life here in Puri.
