N N Mukharjee Travels

We’ve been running N N Mukharjee Travels from this spot on Chakra Tirtha Road for quite some time now. Being over here in Badasirei means we see a lot of people coming and going toward the beach or heading back into the main part of Puri. The office is just a regular room with a couple of chairs and a table where we keep all the paperwork. It’s nothing special to look at, but it gets the job done. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the water. We handle a lot of local trips, mostly just driving folks where they need to go in the city or taking them out to see the temples. The traffic on this road can get a bit crazy during the peak season, but we've learned how to navigate through the crowds of rickshaws and bikes. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s usually someone around to answer questions if you just walk in. We don't have a big fancy staff, just a few of us who know the area well. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the cars to worry about that. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on the drivers. We just try to stay organized and make sure everyone gets where they're supposed to be without too much fuss.
