Doctor

We are based over at Simt Hospital in Puri. It’s a busy place, especially being in area code 752002. Most people come to see us when they have something bothering them and they don't want to travel all the way to a bigger city. It’s a practical setup we have here. We don't have any of those fancy coffee machines or plush carpets you see in movies. It’s just tile floors and medical charts. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually stay until the last person is seen. Puri gets very busy during the festivals, and that affects how many people we see too. Sometimes the hallways are a bit crowded, and you have to squeeze past. We try to keep things moving as best we can. It’s a local operation. We know many of the families who come in because they’ve been coming to this hospital for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything like that. We just want to stay open and be there when someone feels sick. The paperwork can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but that’s part of the job. If you’re around Simt Hospital, you’ll probably see us running around. It’s just a normal doctor’s office doing what we can for the people in Puri. We have a few old fans that make a lot of noise but they keep us cool enough.
