Down here on Water Works Road in Puri, things can get pretty humid and salty. Our place, Apex Auto Ltd, is located at Qt No 4 in the P.H.D.Colony. It’s just a simple spot, not too far from the main parts of town. Working in the auto industry in Orissa means you get used to the rain and the coastal air. We spend a lot of time looking at parts and managing the inventory we have in the back. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we keep our logs and answer the phone. Usually, the morning starts with checking what arrived on the trucks overnight. Some days are loud because of the traffic on Water Works Road, while other days are slow and we just tidy up the shelves. We’ve been in this location for a bit, so most of the locals know the building. We don’t bother with big advertisements or glossy brochures. Most people find us because they need a specific part for their truck or car. We sit at these old wooden desks, handle the billing, and talk to the mechanics who stop by to pick up orders. It’s a lot of manual tracking and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. The fans overhead hum all day to keep the air moving. It is just honest work, and we try to stay on top of things as they come in.
