Aadhya Sagar Welfare Association

The Aadhya Sagar Welfare Association is based out of Limatha, specifically at B P Sharma’s place in Devdhari Sharmadurga Puri. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’re here, it’s a nice, quiet area. We don't have a big glass building or a receptionist. It’s just us working out of this space that Mr. Sharma was kind enough to provide. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk over in the mornings. We started this because the neighborhood had some issues that nobody seemed to be taking care of. We aren't experts in anything, just people who care about our home. Some days we spend hours just talking to the older folks or helping kids with stuff they need for school. It’s not always organized, and sometimes we forget where we put certain files, but we manage. The office is usually a bit cluttered with donations and old posters. We try to keep it tidy, but when things get busy, the cleaning is the first thing to go. We don’t have any marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people talking to each other. If someone needs something, they know where to find us. It’s a very local thing, and we like it that way. No one is trying to be the boss; we just do what needs doing every single day to keep things moving.
