Madhubani Aryan Foundation

We are situated at house number 285 in Adarsh Colony, which is over in Bharmpur on Road Number 3. Sri Sari Devi is the one who looks after the place, and we’ve been operating from here for a good while now. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s usually pretty quiet except for the occasional street vendor passing by. We don't have a big staff of employees. It’s mostly just a few of us who care about what happens in Madhubani. Our office is just a front room with a couple of tables and some filing cabinets that don’t always lock right. We don't have a fancy sign out front, so you really have to look for the house number if you’re coming for the first time. We spend our time working on local issues and trying to be useful to the people living nearby. Sometimes the internet is slow and we can’t get much done on the computer, so we just stick to pen and paper. It’s a very basic way to run a foundation, but we don't need much to get the job done. We don't have a lot of money to spend on making the place look professional. We’d rather just be ourselves. People seem to appreciate that we don't put on any acts. If you need to talk, you can usually find someone here during the daytime. We just do our bit and keep to ourselves for the most part.
