The New Bengal Recidency Hotel(Pvt)Ltd.

We are based out in Khamarchak village, near Tamluk in Purba Midnapore. It is a bit of a drive to get here from the main city, but it is much quieter than being in the middle of Kolkata. The air is different out here, and you can see a lot more green. Our building is a residency hotel, but we try to keep it simple. It is a local business, run by people who live in the area. We do not have those fancy uniforms or a front desk that looks like a spaceship. Instead, you get a hello and a key. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are tidy and that the water is working fine. The post office is in Nolkunthya, which is just a short trip away. Being in a village means things move a bit slower. We don't rush around like crazy. If a guest needs something, we just go and get it. Sometimes we sit outside in the evening when it’s cooler. The road leading up to the hotel can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially after the rains, but people find their way here eventually. We have been part of this community for a while now. It’s just us doing our job and making sure people have a place to sleep. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like being part of the village life, even with all the hard work it takes.
