Our office in Haldia is located at 203, J. N. Das Nagar, near Brajanath Chawk. Being near the Haldia Port in Purba Medinipur means there is always a lot of activity around us. You can hear the trucks and the industrial sounds from the port all day long. The air is often a bit dusty because of all the construction and movement in the area. We operate out of a regular building that looks like any other house in the neighborhood. Inside, it’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of project maps pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time coordinating with contractors and checking on site progress. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie. We usually wear sturdy boots and practical clothes because we’re often out in the field. The weather in West Bengal can be very humid, so the fans are always on full speed. We drink a lot of tea and talk about timelines and logistics. It’s a busy environment but not a stressful one. We’ve got a routine that works for us. The office is a bit of a hub for the project, so people are always coming and going with updates. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the tools we need to do the job. It’s a very grounded way of working in a town that is all about industry and the port.
