Raghunath Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Hospital is located in Dhandighi, Banamali Pur. It’s a place where we combine teaching and treatment. Since it’s an Ayurveda center, things are a bit different than your typical city hospital. We have students learning the old ways and patients coming in for herbal treatments and traditional care. The grounds in Banamali Pur are fairly spread out. It’s not just one building; there are classrooms and wards. It can get a bit hectic when classes are changing and patients are arriving at the same time. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology, just the traditional methods that have been around forever. The smell of herbs is usually quite strong in the hallways. People come here when they want a different approach to their health problems. We aren't trying to be a modern medical center with chrome and glass. It’s a more grounded place. We spend a lot of time talking to patients and explaining the natural processes. The students keep us on our toes with their questions. It’s a lot of work running both a school and a hospital, but it’s what we do here in Dhandighi. We’ve been part of the Banamali Pur community for a long time, and we just keep going day by day, teaching and healing. Sometimes we grow some of the herbs right here on the property, which keeps us connected to what we are doing every day.
