Ek Anvesh Social Welfare Federation

Ek Anvesh Social Welfare Federation is located out in Kanchanpur, which is part of the Keshairy area in Paschim Medinipur. It’s a village setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. Our office is right by the post office, which makes it a bit of a landmark for locals. We spend our days working on projects that affect our immediate surroundings. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just us talking to folks in the village and seeing what’s going on. The roads around here can be tricky during the monsoon season, but we manage. Being in West Bengal, we are used to the weather and the pace of life. We started this because we live here and wanted to see things improve. It’s not about having a grand plan. It’s about the small stuff that adds up over time. We share our space and our time with whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the goats from the neighbor’s yard wander too close, but that’s just life in the village. We focus on staying practical and helping out where we can. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until sunset. We often sit outside in the evening once the sun goes down to talk about what we need to do the next day. It’s quiet out here, and that helps us think clearly about the next steps.
