Adhikari Store

Adhikari Store is located in Polanda Village, which is in the Gobindapur area of Purba Midnapur. It’s a very rural setting, far away from the big cities. We are just a small local store in the middle of the village. We’ve been here for many years, serving the people who live nearby. It’s not a fancy supermarket with bright lights. It’s just a simple building where we stock the everyday items that people need. Most of our time is spent behind the counter or organizing the shelves. We know everyone in the village by name, and they know us too. There’s no marketing or advertising involved here; people just know we are here. The work is steady but slow sometimes, especially in the middle of the day when it’s hot outside. We don't have computers or a fancy billing system. Everything is done the old-fashioned way. The building is a bit worn out, but it serves its purpose. We don't have any big plans to expand or change things. We just like being a part of the community and helping out our neighbors. It’s a lot of standing and moving boxes, but it’s a living. Purba Midnapur is a quiet district, and our store fits right into that pace of life. We open early in the morning and stay until the last few people finish their evening errands. It’s a simple, honest life.
