Vivekananda Hospital Durgapur

This hospital is tucked away in the Bidhan Nagar area of Durgapur, right near Hudco More on Dr. Zakir Hussain Avenue. If you know the neighborhood, you know it can get pretty busy with all the traffic coming through. We’ve been operating here for a while, dealing with everything that comes through the door. It’s a decent-sized building, nothing too fancy, just practical. We have different floors for different things, and the elevators can be a bit slow when the hospital is full. Most of the staff here grew up around Durgapur, so we know the shortcuts to avoid the traffic during shift changes. We spend a lot of time walking these halls. Sometimes it feels like we live here more than at our own houses. The rooms are basic but they serve their purpose for the patients staying over. We don't have any big flashy signs, just the one out front that lets you know you've reached the right spot on the avenue. It gets noisy outside with the buses and cars, but inside we try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can. There’s always someone at the desk, even late at night when the rest of Bidhan Nagar has gone quiet. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come when they aren't feeling well. We do our best to keep things tidy and get the work done.
