S D Fashions (India)

Our shop, S D Fashions (India), is right on S P Mukherjee Rd. in the Murgasol area. It’s a busy stretch of road, and there’s always something going on outside our door. Inside, you’ll find rolls of fabric and people busy with sewing machines or checking over the latest batch of clothes. It’s a bit crowded because we try to make the most of the space we have. We aren't some high-end boutique with soft music playing; it’s more about the sound of needles and the chatter of the staff. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and making sure the stitching is holding up like it should. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and someone has to run out and find more. Murgasol is a good place for us because everything we need is usually within reach. We have customers who have been coming to us for a long time, and they know we just do our work without a lot of fuss. The shop can get a bit warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the front windows, but we just pull the shades and keep working. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here, making sure the clothes look right and getting them ready for whoever is going to wear them. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night, and we are fine with that.
