Down here on Edison Road in Durgapur, at 8 15, things are pretty industrial. This is where Rak Minerals Metals operates. Durgapur is known for its steel and heavy work, so we fit right in with the local surroundings. It is a gritty part of town, with a lot of trucks and heavy machinery moving around at all hours of the day. Our building is not anything special to look at. It is built for function, with high ceilings and plenty of room for metal stocks. We spend our days sorting through different minerals and handling various metal parts. It is noisy and sometimes the air is thick with the smell of welding or heavy fuel. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to the people who need our materials. Most of the guys here have been working in the metal trade for a very long time. We know the local suppliers and the guys who drive the transport trucks. The road outside can get quite muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a mess to get deliveries in, but we always manage. We keep a simple office tucked in one corner of the warehouse where we keep the invoices. It is a straightforward business. We do not try to make it sound more important than it is. We just deal in minerals and metals and try to keep things running.
