National Power Training Institute

Located right in the City Centre area of Burdwan, we handle the training side of things for the power sector. It’s a fairly large space because we need room for people to learn. Burdwan is a growing place, and being in the City Centre makes it easier for trainees to find us. We have classrooms and some equipment where folks get to see how things actually work in the industry. It’s not just books and theory. A lot of the day is spent explaining how grids and plants function. The atmosphere is pretty serious because the work involves electricity and safety. We have people coming in from different districts to stay and learn. It gets a bit noisy during the day when everyone is moving around between sessions. The staff here has been around for years, so we know the routines well. There isn't much flair to the building. It’s functional, built for a specific purpose. We don't spend much time on decorations. The focuses are the machines and the manuals. Lunch breaks are usually spent at the local stalls nearby. It’s a busy environment but steady. People come here to get a solid understanding of the power industry, and we just have the space and the materials ready for that to happen. It feels like a small community here once a batch starts. The City Centre area is usually crowded with students and office goers.
