M/S Sujoy Ghosh & Co.

Our place is located in Mirapara village, right near the Karjona Choti post office. If you are coming from Bhatar, it takes a little bit of time on the road, but the view of the fields is nice. M/S Sujoy Ghosh & Co. isn’t some massive corporation with glass buildings. We are tucked away here in East Burdwan where life moves a bit slower than the big cities. Most of the people working here are from the local area. We grew up around these parts. Our office gets a lot of dust because of the road, so we are always dusting off the ledgers and the computer screens. It is a bit of a struggle during the monsoon when the rain hits the roof so loud you can’t hear the phone ringing. But we manage. Sujoy is usually around, keeping an eye on things and chatting with anyone who drops by. We do our own paperwork and handle the logistics ourselves. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We don't use any fancy software to track things, just old-fashioned notebooks and some basic spreadsheets. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed, but usually, we wrap up by evening. It’s a decent place to work. We all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the village. It feels more like a small community than just a business office. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay busy.
