Being in West Bengal, especially in an industrial spot like this, keeps us on our toes. We deal with bridges and roofs, which sounds like big talk, but it’s really just a lot of practical engineering and hard labor. The office isn't anything special to look at. It has old desks and a few fans that hum all day long. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints that have coffee stains on the edges. That's the reality of a working office. Most of our guys are out on sites, so it can get a bit lonely in the colony office during the day. We’ve been part of this community for a bit, and people know they can just walk in if they have a question about a project. We don't use fancy jargon or try to sound more important than we are. A roof needs to stay up and a bridge needs to hold weight. That’s the job. Sometimes the rains make everything difficult, especially with the mud around the school area, but we just put on our boots and get to it. It’s honest work, and it keeps the lights on. We appreciate the quiet moments when the school kids are in class and we can actually hear ourselves think.
