Mr Shop

Mr Shop is right here in Andal, which is part of the Burdwan district. It’s a local spot where people come for their daily needs. We’ve been in this community for a while, and most of our customers are folks we see every single week. The shop isn't huge, but we try to stock the things people actually ask for. Sometimes the shelves get a little messy when things are busy, but we do our best to tidy up when there's a quiet moment. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us making sure the doors are open and the lights are on. Working in Andal means you get to know everyone's name and what they usually buy. It feels more like a neighborhood gathering place than just a store sometimes. We have some regulars who come in just to say hello while they pick up their stuff. The traffic in Burdwan can be a bit much, especially during the festival seasons, but our corner stays pretty steady. We don't try to be something we aren't. We are just a local shop trying to serve the people who live right here. If we don't have something, we usually try to get it in the next delivery. It’s a lot of long hours, especially on weekends, but that is just how it goes when you run a business like Mr Shop. We like being part of the town.
