Md Clinic

This clinic is situated in Ramkrishna Pally, right by the Main Gate in Durgapur. It’s a very specific part of town near the Steel Project. Because of the location on the Main Road, there is always a lot of dust and noise from the heavy vehicles going toward the project. Md Clinic is just a regular spot where people from the local colony come when they have a fever or a cough. We have a small waiting area with some benches that have seen better days. It is not a polished medical center like the ones you see in big cities. We keep things basic here. The walls are a plain color and we have the usual posters about health on them. Most of our patients are workers from the steel plant or their families who live around Ramkrishna Pally. We know most of them quite well by now. The clinic opens early and we usually stay until the last person is seen, which can be late on some nights. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us managing the desk and the patients. It gets busy, and sometimes the wait is longer than we'd like, but people are generally patient. We just try to provide a place where the local community can come without having to travel too far into the main part of Durgapur. It’s a local operation, run by people who live right here.
