Our place is out in Achra, specifically in the Hospitalpara area of Molladi. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main parts of Burdwan, but it is where we belong. We deal with housing and things related to that. The office is right there in the village, so we are close to the people we actually work for. Life moves a bit differently here than it does in the big cities. We know everyone on the street, and they know us. Most of our days are spent checking on local plots or talking to folks about where they want to live. It is quiet for the most part, except when the hospital nearby gets busy. We do not use a lot of big words or fancy presentations. We just sit down, have some tea, and talk about the building work. The paperwork can be a bit of a headache sometimes, especially with the local rules, but we get through it. We have been here for a while and have seen the area change slowly. Our goal is just to help people get their houses sorted. It is honest work, and we like being part of the community in Bardhaman. There is something nice about seeing a house go up from the ground in your own neighborhood. We just keep doing what we know best and hope it helps people out.
