Jacky Guro Mosla

Out here in Biswas Para, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Jacky Guro Mosla is my small business based in the Mazdia area of Nadia district. Specifically, we are in the Krishnaganj police station jurisdiction. I’ve lived here my whole life, so starting something locally made sense to me. We work with spices, which is what "mosla" means to us. It’s a dusty job sometimes, but the smell is always good. The building isn't anything special, just a sturdy place to work and store our things. We handle the processing right here in the village. Most of the people who work with me are from the surrounding houses. We are all neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes the roads muddy, but we keep going. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. We sell to the local shops and sometimes further out in Nadia. I don't have a big marketing plan. I just try to make sure what we produce is good enough for my own family to use. People know us in Biswas Para. They know where the post office in Mazdia is, and we aren't far from there. It’s a small operation, and that’s fine with me. We don't need to be huge to be happy. Jacky Guro Mosla is just a part of the daily life here in this corner of Krishnaganj. We just keep doing our work every day and that is enough for us.
