Garden Fresh Tea

We’ve been here in Gotan for a while now, just down the road from Sukumarten Maha Vidyalaya. It's a busy spot especially when the college is in session and students are walking around everywhere. We mostly deal with tea that we get from the gardens around here. People know us as Garden Fresh Tea because that’s what we try to keep in the shop. It isn’t a fancy place with big signs or anything. We just have our bags and jars set up in the back. Sometimes the weather in Bardhaman gets really humid, so we have to be careful about how we store everything so it stays dry. We’re right in the Bardhaman tehsil, so a lot of locals stop by when they are heading into the main part of town. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big team or a lot of office space. Mostly it’s just us handling the orders and making sure the tea is packed right. We see the same faces every morning, which is nice. Usually, people just want a good cup or a bag to take home to their families. We spend most of the day weighing things out and talking to whoever walks in. It gets noisy with the traffic near the college, but you get used to it after a few years. We just stay busy with the work and try to get things done before it gets too dark.
