Fashion Fever

Our shop is located in the Suhatta Mall, right in the City Center area of Durgapur. The shop number is 3/19. Being in a mall is a bit different from having a shop on the street because we have to follow the mall hours and rules. We usually get things ready by eleven in the morning. Durgapur gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so the air conditioning in the mall is a big help for us. We see a lot of young people and students from the nearby colleges who come in to look around during their breaks. It is a small place, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes in the back. Sometimes the new stock arrives late and we just have to make do with what is on the hangers. It is just a few of us working here and we take turns going for lunch downstairs in the food court. We have been at this spot for a couple of years. It’s a steady routine of folding clothes, talking to people, and keeping things organized. Sundays are the most chaotic because everyone is out at the mall. The shop gets a bit messy with clothes being tried on, but we just clean it up after we close. We don't have any big fancy ideas. We just like being part of the local scene here in Durgapur and keeping the shop running.
