We are over in Burdwan, at the Krishna Construction building. It’s in the Borehat Kalitala area. Asirat Fashion And Retail Private Limited is the official name, but mostly people just know us by the building. We handle retail and fashion stuff. It’s a decent sized room on the 4D floor. We’ve got racks of clothes and boxes everywhere. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. The area around Kalitala is pretty active. There’s always something going on outside. We spend our days checking inventory and talking to customers. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. It’s just us doing the daily grind. Some of the windows don't close right, so we get a bit of a breeze in the winter. We’ve had some good years and some tough ones. That's just how it goes in the retail world. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We just want to sell good clothes and keep the business afloat. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order, and other days we close early if it’s a holiday. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve got a good relationship with the other shops in the building. It feels like we are all in this together. Just a local Burdwan business trying our best every day to keep things moving.
