Amargayaan Foundation

Our office is on the first floor right at Begunia More on GT Road in Barakar. Being on GT Road means there is never a quiet moment with all the trucks and buses passing by. The building is easy to spot once you get to the intersection. We have the whole first floor, which gives us enough room to breathe and store our supplies. The stairs are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time coming up. Inside, it’s mostly one large room that we’ve divided up with some wooden partitions. The paint is peeling a little in the corners, but we haven't had time to fix it yet. We have a few computers that we use for our records, and a big clock that ticks loudly on the wall. It’s a very functional space without any unnecessary decorations. We drink a lot of coffee while we work through the piles of folders on our desks. The 713324 area is a busy hub, and we feel like we are right in the middle of everything. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we are always wiping down the tables. It’s a practical place to work, and being at the More makes it simple for anyone coming from out of town to find us. We don’t have a fancy lobby, just a door that stays open most of the day for whoever needs us.
