Zurick Textiles and Clothing is based out in Lonand, over in the Khandala area. It’s a bit of a different pace out here compared to the big cities, but we like it that way. We spend most of our time dealing with fabrics and getting clothing orders sorted out. It’s an OPC, so it’s a pretty tight operation without a lot of extra people hanging around. Usually, the day starts early because the heat can get a bit much later on. We deal with various types of cloth and try to make sure everything looks right before it heads out. The floors are usually covered in some kind of thread or scrap pieces by the end of the shift. We aren’t trying to be some massive fashion house. We just want to make sure the clothes we handle are solid and done on time. Lonand is a quiet place most of the time, which helps us focus on the work. Sometimes we have issues with the machines or the power, but we just figure it out and keep moving. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just cut, sew, and ship. If someone asks what we do, we just show them the stacks of finished garments waiting in the corner. That’s the reality of it. It’s just a regular workplace doing regular things every day without any fuss or bother from outside.
