Yojna Architects

Yojna Architects is based in Khadki, specifically over at 61/14 Type 1 Rangehills. It is a quiet enough spot in Pune. Being in the Rangehills area means we have a lot of greenery around us, which is nice when you are staring at blueprints all day long. The office is pretty basic. We have our drafting tables and our computers set up to handle all the design work that comes our way. It is not one of those fancy glass-walled studios you see in the magazines. We have got some old cupboards full of previous project files and a few plants that someone remembers to water every now and then. Khadki has its own pace, and we have grown used to it over the years. Clients come in sometimes to look over plans, and we sit around the big table to discuss changes. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is in the office at once. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure the drawings are right before they go to the site. It is practical work. We have been at this address for a while, so the neighbors know us. There is always a bit of dust from the road, but that is just Pune life. We just focus on getting the lines straight and making sure the buildings we design will actually work for the people living in them without much fuss.
