Yojana Architects

We set up Yojana Architects in the Shivaji Nagar area of Nigdi quite a few years ago. Pune is a big city, but Nigdi has its own feel, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. We have a lot of blueprints and rolls of tracing paper stashed in the corners. Often, we’re just sitting around a table trying to solve a design problem that’s been bothering us for a couple of days. We don’t really go for those high-end office vibes. It’s more about having enough space to work and a decent spot to keep the computers. The team here is small, so we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the local area. When people come in, they usually find us busy with some drawings or on a call with a site supervisor. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time traveling to different sites across Pune, so sometimes the office is empty for half the day. When we are here, there’s usually music playing in the background to keep things lively. We just try to do honest work and stay on top of the deadlines. It's a lot of sketching, measuring, and re-checking things to make sure they're right. That's just the daily grind for us.
