You can find the Worldwide Human Rights Ambassadors Foundation at Sn-18/1, Plot 20/22 in Dighivijay Magar. We know the name sounds quite large, but we are actually a pretty small operation working out of this local spot. We started this because we saw things happening in the neighborhood that didn't seem right, and we wanted a way to address them formally. It's just a couple of rooms with some basic furniture and a lot of paperwork. We spend our mornings going through local cases and seeing who might need a bit of support with their basic rights. It's not glamorous work at all. There’s a lot of waiting around at government offices and talking to lawyers who don't always have time for us. We just keep at it because someone has to. The office is usually a bit messy with newspapers and folders everywhere. Dighivijay Magar is a decent place to be based, as it's easy for people to reach us by bus or rickshaw. We don't have a big staff, so if you call, you'll probably just talk to one of the three people who are always here. We try to be honest with people about what we can actually do. We aren't miracle workers, just neighbors trying to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. It’s tiring sometimes, but we’ve built some good relationships with the families around here over the years. We take it one day at a time and try to stay organized as best as we can.
