Warsa Social Foundation

Warsa Social Foundation is tucked away in Warje Malwadi at S.No. 139. Most people know the area because of the Charu Datta Hotel which is just a short walk from where we are. It’s a pretty busy spot in Pune, especially during lunch hours when the smell of food from the hotel drifts over to our windows. Our space isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do. We have some old desks and chairs that have seen better days. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small shops, so there is always someone walking by or a scooter beeping outside. We start early most days before the heat really kicks in. Being in Warje means we see a lot of local folks coming in and out of the building. We don’t really do fancy presentations or anything like that. Usually, it’s just us sitting around a table trying to figure out the next steps for our work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps the air moving. We’ve grown fond of this little corner of the city. It’s practical and close to the main road, making it easy for people to find us if they know the landmark. It feels real and grounded here, away from the glass buildings and the expensive office parks.
