Our place is located out in Dapodi, right along the main Mumbai-Pune Road. If you know the area, you know how much traffic passes by here every single day. It’s an industrial spot, which makes sense for what we do with tools and machinery parts. The building is functional, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but inside we stay pretty busy. We have a lot of crates and boxes moving in and out. The guys on the floor are usually focused on getting the orders sorted. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the highway, and the sound of trucks is something we just live with now. We have a small canteen area where we sit for lunch, mostly talking about the work or what’s happening in the city. It’s a straightforward environment. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations or anything. Most of our day is just spent looking at technical specs and making sure the inventory matches the lists we have. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or work by the light from the big doors. It’s a solid routine we have going on here in Dapodi. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the staff knows the rhythms of the road and the warehouse pretty well. It’s just regular work for us.
