Dhanlaxmi Steel Art

If you’re driving down Pune Nagar Road, you’ll find us at Fadai Chowk in Wageshwar Nagar. Dhanlaxmi Steel Art is basically a workshop where there is always the sound of metal being cut or welded. It gets pretty noisy in Wagholi, especially with the traffic outside and the grinders going inside. We work with steel mostly, making gates, railings, or whatever else someone needs for their house. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we always have a few projects leaning against the walls waiting for the next step. It’s a dusty job and our hands are usually dirty by noon. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s just the shop where the work happens. People come in with sketches or just ideas, and we try to figure out how to make it out of steel. Sometimes the measurements are tricky, but we get there eventually. We’ve been at this spot for a bit, and the locals know the sound of our machines. It’s honest work, even if it’s loud and hot in the summer. We just take one order at a time and try to get the welds clean. It’s nothing fancy, just a group of us working with steel and trying to keep up with the orders that come through the door at Fadai Chowk. We like what we do, even if it’s a bit messy at times and the air is full of sparks.
