We’ve been working out of our office here in Bhosari 454 for quite some time now. It’s not a huge place, just a simple spot where we get our drawings done and talk to people about their building ideas. Most days, the tables are covered in big rolls of paper and there’s always someone looking for a missing pencil or a ruler that got buried under a stack of site notes. Vinod is usually at the back desk looking over some technical layouts or taking calls from contractors who are out on a job. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. People just drop by when they need something looked at or if they want to see how their plans are coming along. We don't have any fancy receptionists or glass-walled meeting rooms. It's just a regular workspace where we spend a lot of our hours trying to get the measurements right. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating snacks and arguing about where a wall should go. The walls are mostly covered in old maps and some sketches from years ago that we never took down. It feels like a second home to us by now. If you come by, you'll probably see a few half-empty tea cups and a lot of eraser shavings on the floor, but that's just how we work. We like being in this part of town and knowing the local people who live around here. It keeps things grounded for us.
