Vilas Javdekar & Associates

We are based out of Surabhi Colony, specifically at Sr. 134 in the Warje Malwadi area of Pune. It is a busy neighborhood. The pin code is Pune 58 and you can feel the energy of the city right outside the door most days. Vilas Javdekar & Associates is tucked away in this colony. It is a practical space, not something you would ever see in a magazine. We have some old desks and the floor is just plain tile that gets dirty fast. The bikes are parked out front in a bit of a mess most mornings. We get a lot of people coming in and out because Warje is such a growing spot lately. The walls are painted a simple off-white that has faded over the years. We have a small corner where we keep the tiffin boxes for lunch. It is a local operation, so we speak the local language mostly and don't worry about being too formal with anyone. Sometimes the street dogs sleep under the shade of our porch during the hot afternoon. We just step around them and carry on. It is a real place with real dust and real problems to solve every day. We don't have fancy coffee machines, just a kettle and some sugar. The traffic on the main road can be heard all day long. We just get our work done and go home when the sun sets over Malwadi. That is it.
