Vikrama Gyan Foundation

Vikrama Gyan Foundation operates out of a flat in Wadachiwadi, right off the Pune Road. It’s on the first floor of the building in sector one, specifically flat number one. If you know the area, it's pretty easy to spot because of the traffic coming in from the main city towards Wadachiwadi. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and it suits us fine. The space is basically just a regular apartment we turned into a work area for the foundation. There’s a kitchen in the back where we make tea, and the main room has some chairs and a big table where we do everything. It gets a bit noisy during the day because of the construction happening nearby in the block, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of machines. Most of us live close by, so we just walk or take a scooter to get here in the morning. We do a lot of our thinking and planning right at that big table in the center. There are piles of papers and books everywhere because we're always looking things up for our projects. It’s not like those big glass offices you see in the city center. This is just a practical place where we can focus on our tasks. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs to the first floor. It’s a simple setup for simple work. We don’t really do fancy meetings or presentations here.
