Venus Robotics

Being located at 297, Nana Peth in Pune, we’re right in the middle of a lot of activity. We work out of a space shared with Prashant Shinde, which keeps things interesting. Nana Peth is known for all sorts of hardware and mechanical parts, so it’s actually a pretty good spot for what we do at Venus Robotics. We spend a lot of time surrounded by wires, small motors, and various metal bits. It isn’t the kind of high-tech lab you see in movies; it’s more of a workshop where things are constantly being taken apart and put back together. There are shelves full of plastic bins with sensors and circuit boards that we’ve collected over time. Sometimes the place looks like a bit of a mess, but there’s a logic to it. We get people stopping by asking about how to fix a small part or looking for a specific component they can't find elsewhere in the market. We just talk through the problems and see what we can figure out. Working in an area like Nana Peth means there’s always someone nearby who knows about a specific tool or material if we get stuck on a project. It’s a grounded way to work with technology. We don’t have any fancy displays or a sleek office. Just workbenches, some soldering irons, and a few computers that have definitely seen some wear and tear. It’s a practical space for practical work, right here in the heart of Pune.
