We have been here for a bit now. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of the gates opening and the milkman finishing his rounds. The apartment is on a floor that requires a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which it sometimes does. Inside the flat, we’ve got desks pushed against the walls to make the most of the space. It is a simple place with white walls and some old files stacked in the corners. You can hear the traffic from the main road if you leave the windows open, but mostly it is just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. We drink a lot of tea from the small shop just down the street. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a regular flat where we get the work done. Most of the people living in the society know us by now. The address in Mah. India is easy enough to find if you know the landmarks. We don’t have any big signs out front. Just a small plate by the door. It feels more like a home than a corporate building, which suits us just fine.
