Setting up an office for Varron Aluminium Pvt.Ltd. in Shayamal Apartments wasn't exactly what you’d expect for a metal company, but Unit 3 at Anand Park works out well for us. It feels a bit more like a home than a warehouse, though we have samples of aluminium profiles and sections leaning against the walls in the back rooms. It’s a quiet neighborhood compared to the big industrial parks, and we like that it’s a bit more relaxed here. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working through spreadsheets, looking at weights and measurements for different projects. We don’t have big melting furnaces or heavy machinery in this particular spot; it’s more about the planning and the business side of things. There are usually a few of us sitting around desks that have seen better days, surrounded by catalogs and small pieces of extruded metal. Sometimes someone stops by to look at a sample, and we just clear off a chair for them to sit. The light comes in through the apartment windows, and it’s a decent place to spend eight or nine hours a day. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a lobby or a receptionist; if the door is open, we’re probably just in the middle of a cup of coffee or arguing about a delivery schedule. It’s a small, straightforward setup where we just get through the daily tasks without any extra fuss.
