Varroc Engg Pvt Ltd is based out of the Old Police Line near Dahanu Fort. It’s a bit of a historic spot if you think about it. Being in Thane, especially near the fort, gives the place a bit of character. The office is pretty old-fashioned. We don't have central air or anything like that, just the breeze coming in when the windows are open. We do engineering work for various local projects. It’s a lot of hands-on stuff. We aren't sitting in front of screens all day; we’re often out checking on things. The atmosphere here is pretty laid back. We know most of the people in the Taluka. Dahanu is a bit quieter than the main part of Thane, which we actually prefer. You don’t get as much of the city noise. We have a small crew and we’ve all been doing this for years. There isn't much we haven't seen before. Sometimes the weather gets really humid and it slows everything down, but that’s just life near the coast. We don't put on any acts here. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in our work clothes, maybe covered in a bit of grease or dust. It’s just the nature of the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. We just want to do the work right and make sure things are functioning like they should for the folks in the Thane area.
