V9 The interior studio

V9 The interior studio is based in Pune, right in the heart of the old city in Shaniwar Peth. We are at 102, Lakshya Apartments on Mehunpura Lane. If you know Pune, you know these lanes are narrow and full of history. It’s a busy area with a lot of small businesses. Our studio is where we sit and figure out how to make people’s homes look better. It’s not a huge space, but it’s ours. We have samples of laminates and paint charts scattered all over. Working in Shaniwar Peth means we’re close to all the hardware and material markets, which is really helpful. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just talk to folks about what they need for their flats. A lot of the projects we do are for apartments nearby. We spend our time measuring rooms, drawing up plans, and then making sure the carpenters are doing what they’re supposed to do. It’s a lot of coordination. The noise from the lane is always there, but we don't mind it much. It feels like being part of the real Pune. We are just a group of people who enjoy fixing up spaces. No big mission statements here, just hard work and trying to get the cabinets to fit right. People usually find us through word of mouth or by wandering down Mehunpura Lane.
