Uttam Tools

Our place, Uttam Tools, is on the first floor of the Pavana Industrial Complex. We are at A-53, which is part of Plot T-204 in the Bhosari MIDC area. It’s a typical industrial zone, plenty of trucks and noise all day. Being on the first floor means we have to haul stuff up and down, which keeps us fit, I guess. We work with all sorts of tools. The space is filled with shelves and boxes. It's not very pretty, but it's where we do our work. Most of the guys have been working in this area for years. We know the neighbors and where to get the best lunch nearby. The office part is just a small corner with a computer that sometimes acts up. We aren't trying to be some big multinational. We just provide tools to the local shops and factories around here. It gets quite hot in the summer, especially under the metal roof, but we’re used to it. There is always a lot of paperwork to deal with, which none of us really likes. But that’s part of the job. It's a straightforward life. We open up early, get the orders sorted, and try to head home before the traffic gets too bad. The floor is concrete and stained with oil, but that's how a tool shop should look. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in.
