This is actually our local branch or contact point out in Sangli district, even though the name mentions Mumbai. We are set up at Bhauso Appa Chougule’s place in Bhose, which is in the Miraj area. It’s a rural setting, very different from the city, but it’s where a lot of our actual ground-level work gets coordinated. We have strong roots in this soil. People here know us by name, not just as a company. We handle infrastructure matters that affect the local villages and towns around Miraj. It is a simple operation. We don’t have a big fancy office with air conditioning and glass walls. Instead, we have a place where people can stop by and talk about land or construction or whatever project is currently happening in the fields or on the roads. It’s a very hands-on way of working. Sometimes we are out in the sun all day and only come back to the desk in the evening to finish up the logs. We are just regular people trying to do a good job with the projects we’re given. We don’t use big words to describe ourselves because out here, that doesn’t mean much. What matters is that the work gets done and the structures hold up. It’s a quiet life in Bhose, but we stay busy with the technical side of things and making sure everything stays on track.
