Ummul Khair Welfare Foundation

We are based out of a row house, specifically K-8 in the Patel Pride complex. This is over in the Banewadi area. It’s a residential spot, so it feels more like a home than an office. We like it that way. The Ummul Khair Welfare Foundation has been here for a bit. It’s nice because it’s quiet and we can focus on what we’re doing without the noise of the main road. The survey number for the land is 24K, in case anyone is looking at maps. Patel Pride is a decent little community. Our space isn't huge, but we've got enough room for a few desks and some chairs for when people stop by. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, it's just a couple of us working through the piles of documents. It’s honest work and we do it in a simple environment. The neighbors are mostly families, so there are kids playing outside in the evenings. It gives the place a good vibe. We aren't some distant organization; we’re right here in the middle of the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle for making tea. It’s a very low-key operation. We find that being in a row house makes people feel more comfortable when they come to talk to us. It’s less intimidating than a big office building in the city center.
