Our office is 812 in the South Block of Sacrer World over in Wanworie. It’s a large building, and sometimes people get a bit lost trying to find the right elevator, but once you’re up here, it’s a pretty quiet place to work. Tisya Impex is basically an import and export business. We spend most of our time on the phone or staring at computer screens. There is a lot of coordination involved when you are moving goods from one place to another. We deal with shipping agents, customs brokers, and the suppliers themselves. It is not always smooth. There are often delays at the port or some paperwork that needs to be redone. We just take it as it comes. There are five of us in the office, and we have been together for a few years now. We usually eat our lunch together in the small pantry. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a regular small business. Wanworie is a good area for us because it’s not as congested as the city center, though the parking in this complex can be a bit of a headache. We don’t do much in the way of advertising. Most of our clients come through word of mouth or long-standing relationships. We just focus on keeping the shipments moving and making sure the files are organized. It’s a lot of detail work, but it keeps the lights on.
