You can find The Indian Electric Co. over at Bharat Bhavan in Shukrawar Peth. We've been at 1360 Natu Baug for a long time now. If you know the area, you know it's full of history and narrow lanes. It gets quite busy around here, especially in the afternoons. Our office isn't one of those glass buildings you see in the IT parks. It’s an older building with a bit of character. Most of our days are spent talking to customers and sorting through electrical components. We handle a lot of orders, so the place is usually stacked with boxes and ledger books. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anyone to write glossy brochures. It’s just us. My dad used to say that a good name is earned by showing up every day. So, that’s what we do. We open the shutters early and stay until the work is finished. People in Natu Baug know us well. We’ve seen kids grow up and take over their family businesses right next door to us. It feels like being part of a big, messy family in this part of Pune. We aren't here to impress anyone with big words. We just provide what's needed and keep things moving. It’s honest work in a busy part of town. Sometimes the power goes out, which is funny for an electric company, but we just wait for it to come back.
