The Akanksha Foundation

We’ve been working here in Pimpri-Chinchwad for a while now. The Akanksha Foundation is basically just a group of us trying to get things done around Pune. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We mostly just focus on what needs doing day to day. Sometimes it gets a bit busy, but we manage. People know where to find us if they need to talk. We’ve stayed in this area because it’s where we feel we can actually help out. It's just a regular setup, nothing too crazy. You might see us around the neighborhood quite often. The building isn't much to look at, but we spend most of our time there. We handle a lot of different tasks depending on the day. Usually, it's just a couple of us sitting around a table figuring things out. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we try our best to keep things moving. We’ve been in Pune for years and we don't plan on going anywhere else. If you're walking by in Pimpri-Chinchwad, you’ll probably see the sign. We like it here. It's a decent spot for the foundation. Most of our staff lives nearby so it's a short commute. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with big meetings. We just talk and work. That's how it's always been since we started. It works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
