Thakur Shroff Electric Co

Our shop, Thakur Shroff Electric Co, is located right in the middle of Budhwar Peth at Dudhwala 467. It’s one of those parts of town where it’s always crowded and there’s always something going on right outside the front door. We’ve had this space for a long time now, and the shelves are pretty packed with all sorts of electrical bits, wires, and parts that have gathered a bit of dust over the months. Some days it feels like we have way too much stuff and not enough room to move, but we usually know exactly where everything is kept, even the small fuses. People come in looking for specific switches or things for their homes, and we just grab what they need from the back. It’s not a modern showroom with bright lights and fancy displays. It’s more of a practical place where we get our hands dirty and talk to the contractors and locals who stop in for a quick chat. The building itself is quite old, and you can hear the street noise and the honking all day long. Sometimes we’re just sitting here waiting for the next person to walk in, or we’re counting inventory when things are slow. We don't use any big fancy machines or complicated systems to track things. We just write it down in the ledger and keep going. Budhwar Peth is a tough place to navigate if you aren't used to the narrow lanes, but we like it here. It’s home for the business. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just a simple electric shop at the end of the day.
