If you find yourself in Budhwar Peth, you’ve probably walked right past Thakur Shroff & Electric Co without even realizing it. We are located at S No 475, which is quite close to the Pasodya Vithoba Temple. It’s a busy area, always full of people and the sound of bells from the temple. We’ve been handling electrical supplies for a long time now. The shop is usually stacked high with wires, switches, and all sorts of parts that people need for their homes or workshops. It can get a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. You never know when someone is going to come in looking for an old-style fuse or some specific gauge of wire. The air in the shop always has that faint smell of copper and plastic packaging. We aren't big on decoration; we just use the space for storage and serving customers. My father used to say that a tidy shop means you aren't selling enough, so we stay pretty busy. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often chat while we’re unloading crates. It’s a good community to be a part of. We don't spend much time on the computer, preferring to write things down in our ledger books like we always have. It’s just how we do things at Thakur Shroff, keeping it simple and making sure we have what people ask for. We try to be helpful whenever someone comes in.
