Tata Motors

We are tucked away in Parijat Colony, specifically at 5th Lane near the canal in Karvenagar. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, so we try not to be too loud, but fixing cars and trucks always makes some noise. We share the space near Sandeep Wandre and Tukaram Shedge’s place. It’s not the biggest Tata Motors site you’ll ever see, but we manage with what we have. Most of the folks who come in are from the neighborhood or nearby parts of Pune. We spend our days troubleshooting engine problems and swapping out parts that have worn down. The canal nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. Sometimes we have to wait a day or two for parts to arrive, and that’s when the shop gets a bit crowded with vehicles waiting their turn. It’s a tight-knit little group of us working here. We don't use big words or fancy talk; we just tell people what’s wrong and how long it’ll take. The coffee shop down the street is where we usually end up when things get too hectic in the afternoon. Working in Karvenagar has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. It’s just us, some tools, and a lot of work to keep us busy from Monday to Saturday until the job is done.
